Wilhelm Cares – And so do our customers!

It has been a great month with regards to giving back to the community and our customers have really come through. Throughout the last couple of weeks, we have been running a couple of charity events simultaneously. The first one we ran was to do with helping out those victims of Hurricane Harvey. Times like this is where we all need to stand together and I feel our customers have helped out tremendously. We partnered up with local printing company ABD and “We support Texas” to provide 7 drop off points across the valley. All Wilhelm customers who donated anything from the list we eligible for $10 off any service or repair. There was an overwhelming response.

Here are a few pictures from around the stores of our guys with Dave Delvecchio, who is the president of ABD and put the whole thing in place.

We would like to take this chance to thank anybody who donated and huge Thanks to Dave and his team for putting this whole thing together and giving us all a chance to give back.

Our second event was in support of Arts Education week with a company called Act One. During the week of September 11-15, Wilhelm rounded up all customer tickets to make a donation to help all kids have access to Art events. Act One and Arizona's arts community celebrate National Arts in Education Week to bring awareness to the importance the arts play in student success. A nonprofit organization, Act One provides access to the arts through school field trips. Here is what Act One donations manager, Jan Holmes had to say about the week. “We are so thankful for this contribution. You will be pleased to know that $500 underwrites the cost for two buses!!”

So overall, September has a great month. Community involvement has always been a part of the Wilhelm tradition. After starting originally in Peoria in 1928, the company has expanded to include locations in Litchfield Park, Tatum Ranch, Surprise, Goodyear, Arcadia and most recently Happy Valley. Community service comes naturally to all Wilhelm employees no matter which location is involved. We will be running our annual Pet Food Drive during the month of November and will continue to try to give back to those in need.
